Finglish is a portmanteau word used by English speaking Iranians to describe the linguistic blend of the English and Farsi languages. In many ways like the Finglish language these girls are nor British nor Iranian, but a combination of both. As a street and studio identity project the aim is to depict each individuals unique embrace of both cultures. Adapting to one while holding on to segments of the other. Each photograph represents a personal comfort zone. This is also echoed through the framing and composition. Not inside or outside, but in-between.
